On September 19th, 17 energetic team members from AluK Luxembourg and Valfidus took part in the Luxembourg Times BusinessRun for the first time!
The event saw more than 6,600 participants representing over 400 companies come together for a 5km run through the vibrant business hub of Kirchberg, in Luxembourg City. After crossing the finish line, runners enjoyed a fun-filled after-party, indulging in some well-deserved snacks and drinks to refuel.
However, the event wasn’t just about fitness and fun. A portion of the entry fees – €2 from each participant – was donated to Fondation Cancer, resulting in an impressive €36,262 raised. This donation will go towards supporting cancer patients, their families, and advancing cancer research and treatment efforts.
In addition to the funds raised through registrations, AluK and Valfidus also made an extra donation of €400, further contributing to the incredible work carried out by Fondation Cancer.
This is just the beginning of our Move for Life initiative! Over the next few weeks, many more events will take place across our global business units. Our collective goal is to reach:
- 11 business units involved
- 600 participants
- €15,000 raised for breast cancer charities
