AluK’s aluminium construction systems were central to this residential development, completed in 2019, on Cardiff’s Bute East Dock. The project is a new build, intended to generate affordable housing.
The Schooner Wharf building contains 32 apartments with 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms and another building with 85 units, a combination of one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.
AluK GB installed contemporary anthracite-grey 58BW and 58BD windows and doors, GT55TB commercial doors, and the SL52 curtain walling solution.
These products were carefully selected to fulfil the specifications requested by the architects from Austin Smith Lord, as well as create a superb aesthetic.
All AluK products on Schooner Wharf were manufactured and installed by Denval, a leading aluminium construction system manufacturer, and installation specialist, based in Cardiff.
