Project Manager/ Manufacturing Engineer
The group AluK is a global leader in the design and engineering of aluminium profiles and accessories for window, door and curtain walling systems. With more than sixty years of expertise and operations in major countries around the globe, our building systems have been specified for many of the world’s most advanced and prestigious buildings.
AluK China factory started 15 years ago to supply both sister companies and Chinese customers. AluK China is now looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to bring the production operation to the next level offering excellence in quality, lead time and cost. The job is based in Shanghai.
The candidate will be responsible for implementing a barcoding solution over the warehouse and manufacturing shop floor in our China factory, as well as several other smaller projects related to Operations and systems. The candidate must have a project manager experience related to manufacturing management ERP solutions (SAP, Oracle, Kingdee).
Your responsibilities
- Manage the barcoding project according to agile methodology
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
- Deliver the expected outcome of the project on time and on budget: system implemented, gains on efficiency
- Capture demand on Operations needs
- Advise Management on solutions related to Operations continuous improvement
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
Qualifications Required
- Master in Manufacturing Engineering
- Broad and general interest in technology for manufacturing
- Experience in a manufacturing environment and implementation/utilization of the barcoding system;
- Experience in Project Management
- ERP Manufacturing Management knowledge (SAP, Oracle, Kingdee)
- Conceptual & analytical thinking, creativity, global approach to a problem and practical capabilities are equally important for this specific position
- Self-starter and initiative / Interdisciplinary Team-work / Capability to acquire new competencies
- Broad exposure to Chinese Culture
- Fluent in Mandarin and English
The job is based in Shanghai. The contract will be an 18-month term contract with possible reconduction.
